We are excited for the 3rd annual Library of Trees event at the New Castle Henry-County Public Library. Organizations and members of the community are encouraged to visit and or participate in the 2022 Library of Trees. This year’s event will open during the downtown Christmas Walk on Thursday, December 1 at 5:30pm. The trees will remain up through January 2nd. If you are interested in participating please register HERE. Tree decorating begins Saturday, Nov 26 – Thursday, Dec 1 during normal library business hours. Please have your tree decorated by 5pm on December 1’st.
When visiting the Library of Trees patrons can vote for their favorite trees by leaving canned food items in the boxes of their favorite trees. The tree that receives the most food donations will be the Library of Trees Food Donation Champion. All canned food items will be donated to local food banks. Patrons can also vote for the best decorated tree with a paper ballot at the main circulation desk. The Food Donation Champion and the Best Decorated Tree will both receive a trophy.
