Access Ebooks and More With OverDrive

New Castle-Henry County Public Library offers access to thousands of ebooks, audiobooks, magazines, and even videos through OverDrive. What’s the best way to access OverDrive and how can you start enjoying this resource today?

Videos- The best way to access videos is directly through OverDrive. Download the app through your favorite app store or access it online through this link. Once you enter your account information, you’ll be directed to the Indiana Digital Download Center, where you can go to the Collections section and look for the “Videos” menu. Choose a video to check out and view.

Ebooks, magazines, and audiobooks- The Libby app is the best way to use OverDrive’s vast selection of ebooks, magazines, and audiobooks. Libby allows you browse titles, make wish lists, and sync usage between devices. For example, if you want to start listening to an audiobook on your smartphone and finish listening to it on your tablet, the Libby app will keep track of where you left off within the book.

Since titles are shared among many libraries, it’s important to place a hold on items you’d like to check out. If the item you’re waiting for becomes available when you’re not ready for it, you can suspend your hold and keep your place in line.

Should you have any questions on how to operate OverDrive or Libby, please don’t hesitate to email us at info@nchcpl.org
