Adult and Teen Summer Reading 2022

Summer Reading is here again and we are excited to introduce a new way to log your minutes. Reader Zone is an easy to use app that not only helps you keep track of your minutes, but it will also help you keep track of the books you have read. If apps are not your thing, you can access Reader Zone on computers at home or here at the library. We will also have a paper log available.

When you access Reader Zone for the first time, it will ask you for a code. The Adult Summer Reading Code is ec4ab and the Teen Summer Reading Code is e5b6f. You will be able to set up your account, but you won’t be able to start logging minutes until the first day of Summer Reading, which is June 4th.

For both the Adult and Teen Summer Reading Challenge, you will be given a choice between two grand prizes. The two adult grand prizes are a $100 gift card to Selah Spa or two individual Newport Aquarium Tickets. The teen grand prizes are a $50 Steam Gift Card or a Pool Party at the YMCA.

To be eligible for a raffle ticket, complete the Summer Reading Challenge by reading 800 minutes over 8 weeks and your name will be entered into a drawing for the prize you have chosen. If you would like to be entered in a raffle for both prizes, you will need to read 800 minutes for each challenge, for a total of 1600 minutes. For every 10% of the challenge you’ve completed, teens and adults can come to the Main Circulation desk and spin the Wheel of Prizes! Prizes include items such as books, candy, pens, and drawstring bags.
